What to Expect in the Back 2 Basics Classroom
Small group instruction across multiple sports
In many classrooms, creativity is pushed aside for test prep and rigid routines. Kids are expected to sit still, keep up, and focus more on scores than true understanding. I take a different approach at Back 2 Basics Schoolhouse by creating a calm, interactive space where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcome, and every child’s learning style is valued
Curiosity-Driven, Playful Learning
Learning should be joyful and memorable. That’s why our days are filled with music, movement, games, and hands-on activities that bring core subjects to life. I strive to make every moment one that sparks curiosity and builds lasting skills.
Confidence Comes First for Lasting Growth
Children thrive when they believe in themselves. That’s why confidence-building is at the heart of everything we do. When students feel capable and supported, meaningful learning follows. My goal is to create a space where kids in kindergarten through 5th grade feel seen, heard, and excited to learn — every single day.
Personalized Learning in a Small Group Setting
My small group homeschool support class is intentionally limited to just 6 students per session, so every child gets the individual attention they deserve. I create a personalized curriculum for each student, focused on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and math. We move at your child’s pace with no standardized test pressure!

Loved by Kids, Trusted by Parents.
Here are some things parents and kids have to say about Back 2 Basics Schoolhouse.
“
My son has dyslexia, and reading has always been a source of frustration and low self-esteem for him. From the very beginning, Ms. Ronda saw his potential and met him with patience, understanding, and the perfect mix of structure and encouragement. She isn’t just teaching him how to read—she is teaching him to believe in himself. She uses strategies that truly work for children with learning differences and always takes the time to celebrate every step forward, no matter how small.

“
We’ve had the pleasure of working with Ms. Ronda to tutor our two daughters, ages 4 and 5, and the experience has been nothing short of incredible. Our daughters have not only gained confidence in their early reading, writing, and math skills—they’ve also developed a genuine love for learning. We’ve seen noticeable improvements in their comprehension, focus, and vocabulary, all thanks to Ms. Ronda’s thoughtful instruction and consistent encouragement.

Both of our children are on the autism spectrum, and finding the right support has always been a priority for us. We have seen tremendous growth, not just in their reading skills, but in their confidence and love of learning. Ms. Ronda is everything we hoped for in a tutor and more: caring, patient, supportive, and deeply understanding of our children’s unique needs. Our twins absolutely love working with her and genuinely look forward to every session.
